One active, three performance levels, a single INCI.


Base, Shield and Intense are drawn from the same rice bran oil, naturally

enriched in gamma-oryzanol. Their defining property is patented photoactivation:

under solar irradiation, antioxidant activity strengthens over time instead of

degrading.


On this foundation the oils add full photostability, antioxidant capacity and UV

absorption in the lipid phase, with a native critical wavelength of 385 nm

reached without any added filter. Shield and Intense carry the photoactive

response; Base anchors the UV profile. Performance scales with the active, not

with added ingredients.

OryzActive Base

High-performance active, 2-3% in formulation. Same profile as Shield. Photoactivation from 2%. Active cost efficiency for premium formulations.

Antioxidant activity that amplifies under UV exposure.

OryzActive Shield and Intense are the only cosmetic emollients documented to increase their antioxidant activity under irradiation. Where conventional oils degrade from 20 minutes of Suntest CPS+ irradiation (550 W/m²), OryzActive maintains full photostability and triggers photoactivation: the antioxidant response strengthens over time and under UV load. This mechanism is patented (A24499EP, filed December 2025) and independently verified by Helioscience across three studies (2512-AOX00011, 2605-AOX00131, 2606-AOX00091).

Formulation application notes

Mineral sun care SPF 30+

OryzActive Base as TiO₂/ZnO vehicle (free dosage) combined with OryzActive Shield at 3-5% or Intense at 2-3% in the same lipid phase. Single INCI declaration. Simultaneously reinforces the UV spectral profile (native critical wavelength 385 nm, above the EU broad-spectrum threshold of 370 nm) and provides photostable antioxidant protection. SPF contribution +0.3 without additional UV filter (Helioscience HelioClassic, January 2026). Compatible with mineral and hybrid filter systems.

Antioxidant anti-ageing serum

OryzActive Intense at 2-3%. Antioxidant activity 3 to 4 times superior to tocopherols. Photostable at all irradiation time points (Suntest CPS+, 550 W/m², 30 min). Photoactivation documented from 10 min of irradiation: antioxidant activity amplifies under UV exposure and over time (Helioscience 2606-AOX00091, patent A24499EP). Clean label, single INCI, no petrochemical solvent.

After-sun repair

OryzActive Shield at 3-5% as base. Only conventional emollient showing full photostability at all irradiation time points in comparative testing against common mineral sun care oils (Helioscience 2606-AOX00091). Photoactivatable antioxidant activity reinforced after sun exposure. Regenerating, silky non-greasy texture.
