Supercritical CO₂, not petrochemical solvents
Most cosmetic oils are extracted with hexane, a petroleum-derived solvent now identified by the ECHA as a substance of very high concern. RB Process extracts rice bran oil with supercritical CO₂: solvent-free, hexane-free, residue-free. The CO₂ is captured, compressed and reused in a closed loop. Zero petrochemical trace, zero waste water, a circular process protected by patent EP3766950, granted in the EU, US and Japan.
One rice bran, two active ranges, zero waste
A single raw material feeds the entire portfolio. Supercritical CO₂ extraction draws the OryzActive oils from the bran; the defatted bran that remains becomes the OryzaCare exfoliant. Nothing is discarded. The rice bran co-product, once destined for animal feed, is fully valorised into two clinically documented cosmetic actives.
Clinically proven, independently verified
Every claim rests on independent laboratory data. Helioscience documents the antioxidant capacity, photostability and photoactivation of the OryzActive oils. Dermaclaim documents the OryzaCare exfoliation, +156.7 % desquamation for Glow and +145.4 % for Intense at D14 in a rinse-off gel, and its skin tolerance, Mean Irritation Index of 0 on a panel including 50 % sensitive skin. Reports are available to qualified formulators on request.

One INCI covers the full OryzActive range, Oryza Sativa Bran Oil, which simplifies your declaration and sourcing. The oils replace mineral oils, silicones and solvent-extracted bases in the same lipid phase, adding native UV absorption across UVB and UVA plus antioxidant contribution, with no extra INCI line. Base, Shield and Intense combine freely, from the lipid phase of mineral sunscreens to antioxidant serums and after-sun repair.
From the paddies of the Albufera de Valencia
The rice bran is sourced from the Albufera de Valencia, one of the oldest rice-growing basins of the Mediterranean, and processed within a few kilometres of the fields. Both ranges are plant-derived, biodegradable, microplastic-free and COSMOS-certifiable, certification in progress via Ecocert.
